  • Brief description

   The evico magnetics Kerr-Microscope & Magnetometer system is a facility for the visualization of magnetic domains and magnetization processes and for magneto-optically measuring surface hysteresis loops (MOKE-magnetometry) on all kinds of magnetic materials, based on the magnetooptical Kerr effect.

  • Specifications: 

    -Function: measure hysteresis loop, visualize magnetic domain

    -Overview microscopy: spot size ranging from ~30 x 30 mm to 8 x 8 mm

    -Widefield microscopy: spot size ranging from 100 μm down to 300 nm

    -Measured magnetization components: longitudinal, transverse and polar

    -Measured temperature: 4.5 K-873 K

    -Magnetic field: dipole magnet 10-4 – 1.3T, maximum perpendicular magnet 950 mT

    -Image processing for Kerr contrast enhancement

    -Drift and motion correction
