  • Brief description

   The MPMS3 is an advanced SQUID magnetometer delivering ultra-high sensitivity (≤ 10-8 emu) across multiple measurement modes (DC, SQUID-VSM, AC susceptibility) under precise temperature and field control. Built on decades of SQUID instrumentation development, it integrates enhanced magnetic field control, temperature regulation, and data acquisition via the MultiVu software. Optional features include ultra-low field capabilities, electrical transport measurement, sample rotation, and sub-Kelvin inserts, for versatile magnetic characterization.

  • Specifications: 

    -Sensitivity: ≤ 1 × 10-8 emu (SQUID)

    -Magnet: superconducting, up to ±7 T, QuickSwitchTM

    -Maximum ramp rate: ~700 Oe/s

    -Temperature range: 1.8 K to 400 K

    -Cooldown: ~25 min from 300 K to 1.8 K (typical)

    -Measurement modes: DC Scan, SQUID-VSM, AC Susceptibility

    -AC Susceptibility: 0.1 Hz – 1 kHz, amplitude 0.1 – 10 Oe typical

    -Ultra-Low Field (ULF) option: ±20 Oe with active cancellation

    -Electrical Transport Option (ETO): 2/4-wire, resistance up to several MΩ / high-impedance mode to GΩ

    -Sample rotation: full 360° (step ~0.1°)
