About the Conference

The East Lake (EL) Conference 2026 on Low-Dimensional Quantum Materials and Devices is jointly organized by the Institute of Low-Dimensional Quantum Materials (LQM) at Hubei University of Technology (HBUT) and the Center for Integrated Nanostructure Physics (CINAP) at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), and will be held from August 21–26, 2026 in Wuhan, China. Prof. Young Hee Lee, Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Director of LQM at HBUT, serves as the Co-Chair of the conference.

The conference coincides with the Opening Ceremony of the LQM Institute at HBUT. It will focus on cutting-edge research and technological advances in low-dimensional quantum materials and devices, aiming to establish a high-level, diverse, and open platform for international academic exchange and collaboration.

The event is expected to attract around 400 participants, with 46 renowned domestic and overseas experts and scholars having confirmed their attendance. A total of 12 Members and Foreign Members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences will be present on-site to witness this significant milestone together.
