Dr. Wang Shuxin
Lecturer, Center of Low-Dimensional Quantum Materials (LQM)
Hubei University of Technology (HBUT)
Dr. Wang received her bachelor's degree from Shandong University and her Ph.D. from Wuhan University. Her research focuses on low-dimensional quantum materials and advanced spectroscopic techniques.
The electronic structure of solid materials fundamentally determines their macroscopic physical properties. As a direct experimental technique that probes electronic states in both energy and momentum space, ARPES has become one of the most powerful tools for discovering, characterizing, and understanding novel quantum states in condensed matter systems.
This presentation will cover:
l The basic principles and experimental setup of ARPES
l Representative applications in topological materials, 2D materials, van der Waals heterostructures, and moiré systems
l Advanced variants of ARPES for visualizing band dispersions, Fermi surfaces, spin textures, and ultrafast carrier dynamics
Presenter: Dr. Wang Shuxin
Date: This Friday
Time: 14:30 – 15:30
Venue: 1st Floor Lecture Hall, Building B, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, HBUT
