About the Conference

The East Lake (EL) Conference 2026 on Low-Dimensional Quantum Materials and Devices is jointly organized by the Institute of Low-Dimensional Quantum Materials (LQM) at Hubei University of Technology (HBUT) and the Center for Integrated Nanostructure Physics (CINAP) at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU), and will be held from August 21–26, 2026 in Wuhan, China.

The conference coincides with the Opening Ceremony of the LQM Institute at HBUT. It will focus on cutting-edge research and technological advances in low-dimensional quantum materials and devices, aiming to establish a high-level, diverse, and open platform for international academic exchange and collaboration.

The program will feature in-depth discussions on recent breakthroughs in low-dimensional quantum materials, key device technologies, and emerging interdisciplinary directions, driving new scientific discoveries and technological innovations.

Conference Highlights

Over six exciting days, the program offers the LQM Opening Ceremony, Lab Tour, Welcome Reception, Plenary Sessions, Poster Sessions, and a Conference Banquet. Among our world-class speakers are Prof. Sumio Iijima, the discoverer of carbon nanotubes, joined by Academicians Huiming Cheng, Dapeng Yu, and Lian-Mao Peng, along with many other distinguished academicians and leading experts from around the globe.
