To create a practical platform for young students to explore cutting-edge quantum science and showcase the lab’s research facilities and core research areas, the Institute of Low-Dimensional Quantum Materials (LQM), Hubei University of Technology (HBUT), will host 2026 Summer Open Lab on July 17. This event is open to all undergraduate and graduate students with interests in low-dimensional quantum materials. It features thematic lectures, lab tours, instrument hands-on sessions and academic exchanges to deliver an immersive research experience.

1、About LQM Center

The Institute of Low-Dimensional Quantum Materials (LQM) is a top-tier international research platform developed by HBUT. Led by Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Prof. Young Hee Lee, LQM maintains in-depth international collaboration with the Center for Integrated Nanostructure Physics (CINAP), Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea. Its research focuses on cutting-edge areas including two-dimensional materials, quantum devices and nanophotonics.

Equipped with instruments for material synthesis, microcharacterization and device fabrication, LQM has built pathways for international academic training.
