Led by Academician LEE Young Hee, the Institute of Low-Dimensional Quantum Materials aims to build a world-class research platform and serve as a playground for cutting-edge research on low-dimensional quantum materials. The institute breaks traditional disciplinary boundaries by deeply integrating materials science and engineering, physics, chemistry, information science, and biology, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. It strives to achieve breakthroughs in frontier and disruptive technologies related to low-dimensional quantum materials.
To strengthen the operation, maintenance, and technical support of the institute’s large-scale equipment, we are now openly recruiting two faculty members, both domestically and internationally, for professional technical positions. The details are as follows:
I.Positions and Responsibilities
(1)Research Fields: Physics, Materials Science and Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology, Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering.
(2)Number of Positions: 2
(3)Responsibilities:
Responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, function development, and upgrade management of the institute’s large-scale equipment, including the Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope (STEM), Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM), X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD), and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS).
Provide technical support, user training, and testing services for the relevant large-scale equipment to researchers both within and outside the institute, as well as assist in experimental design.
Participate in the formulation of management regulations, safety protocols, and usage procedures for large-scale equipment to enhance operational efficiency and promote open sharing.
Complete other tasks assigned by the institute.
II. Qualifications
1.Candidates should abide by laws and regulations, adhere to social ethics, and have no record of disciplinary action or criminal behavior.
2.Candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree (engineering background preferred) and generally be under 35 years of age. Those with senior professional titles or extensive experience in related equipment, such as cleanroom equipment, may be granted an exception to this age limit.
3.Candidates should possess a solid professional foundation and familiarity with the principles, operation, and applications of large-scale equipment. Those with experience in equipment management or R&D are preferred.
4.Candidates should have strong hands-on skills and the ability to independently perform instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
5.Candidates should acquire excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities.
