概况Dr. Lan-Anh T. Nguyen’s research focuses on two-dimensional magnetic semiconductors, van der Waals materials, spintronics, and magnetotransport. Her work seeks to understand the interplay among charge carriers, spin, valley degrees of freedom, and magnetic order in doped transition-metal dichalcogenides and related layered systems. A particular focus is the electrical manipulation of magnetic states, including room-temperature electrically driven spin-flip switching in two-dimensional magnetic semiconductors. By combining device fabrication with transport, optical, magneto-optical, and magnetic characterization, she investigates carrier-mediated magnetism, magnetic fluctuations, spin-dependent transport, and anomalous Hall phenomena. Her broader research goal is to clarify the physical mechanisms governing electrically tunable magnetism in low-dimensional materials and to explore their potential for energy-efficient spintronic devices.
